Hello everyone! This is the second edition of a collage project I am doing with my sister Carolyn – we’re following the weekly prompts in The Collage Workbook by Randel Plowman.

The prompt for this week is WHITE – creating a collage using only different shades of white paper. Here’s what I did….

White - 1220 - NB

These collages all measure 6″ x 6″

White Sunrise - NB

It’s amazing how many different shades of white there are….

White - Turning A Corner - NB

This was a good prompt for me as I love white and I’m irresistibly drawn to the light. I have an A4 sketchbook set aside to put my collages into but some I may consider framing. Looking forward to next week’s collages….

    1. Thank you Zsuzsa – it is an interesting challenge. And it’s not till you start looking that you notice that there are loads of different shades classed as “white”. For example good quality white watercolour paper is actually off white or a pale cream colour but it’s still classed as white… !

  1. I’m really enjoying following what you and Carolyn are doing together and I like that you add details like size and what you intend doing with them. It’s gives the reader vision and ideas for themselves

  2. Hi Evelyn! Love seeing your “white” collages. I did a few of my own that I will post tomorrow. 😊 I really like the sizes you did and that you have the ability to frame some of them. I think my favorite is the sunrise. ☀️

I'd love to hear your thoughts and observations...
